Re: Covd Vaccine Shot One Done
My Dad got his first shot yesterday - he turned 99 in November! Well that beats my 93 year old mother! Get them a play date? Family tends to be long lived once we survive our youth! I have a friend who gets his second in a couple of weeks (or supposed to ) and will see how the vaccine flow is at th...

My Dad got his first shot yesterday - he turned 99 in November! My granddaughter (she's a nurse's aid/ER tech) got her second shot a week and a half ago.No problems for either one.She got the Pfizer, not sure what Dad got. Was watching the news yesterday - they were interviewing a doctor at one of th...

Re: Low Battery Light
Write it down or at least write down where to find it.I wouldn't count on that vault too much. I used to have a memory like a steel trap - once something got in it didn't get out.I'm 69 now and the memory is starting to resemble a steel sieve!Except for a few things I'd like to forget of course - th...

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?
Took a new years day ride yesterday - 2 1/2 hrs,mid to upper 30's.Heated jacket and grips with Hippo hands combined with a 'Stich Roadmaster makes all the difference!! Meandered the side roads from Woburn up to the Essex and Gloucester area,it would have been nicer if it didn't cloud up,but not bad ...

Re: Rear Brake Lever Pad
I have one on my Patrol - don't know about extra leverage, but the extra thickness does reduce the standing on tip-toe felling when using the rear brake.

Re: what causes broken brake springs?
Thank you tgtrotter I already enlarged and chamfered the holes,no joy - still broke springs. I talked to Terry Crawford yesterday,he says that at one time they got a batch of springs with a bad heat treat that kept breaking, maybe it's happened again. He's sending me some springs from two different ba...

Re: what causes broken brake springs?
Terry - I got them at Ural of New England.Wonder if they have an old batch of springs in stock,John did say they don't sell many of them.
The heat treat makes sense every one of them has broken where the straight transitions to the hook.

what causes broken brake springs?
Has anyone ever figured out what causes brake shoe springs to break? My rig has started to eat springs on a regular basis - this is a relatively new development, only started a year ago or so after racking up around 70,000km with no problem. It's always the same spring,on the pusher next to the pivot,n...

What year is it? Me: 2007 No its not Me: Then what year do you want it to be.... Edit: This is also how most conversations with my wife go, too. Had one guy actually call me a liar and was just short off wanting to duke it out.I think he was half drunk, and he was about my size and age,AND I was in ...

Re: Final Drive-Driveshaft Clunk
I've had an occasional SLIGHT clunk on my 2012 if the sidecar wheel bearings need adjusting. Easy to check, just grab the top of the sidecar wheel and give it a pull laterally, there should not be a lot of play. Where is it and how do you adjust it? If it's the same as a 2012 the adjusting nut (the o...
