Re: Fuel petcock

Ok, took the stock vacuum petcock apart yesterday. Pretty sure my leak was from the oval O-ring gasket between the petcock and the the tank, and fuel was seeping down the face to the ring area around the toggle. I was amazed at the condition of the various rubber parts inside the unit. They were sof...

Dogboy... just push it to next year. Worry about yourself and those around you first.
OMG, did something happen? Had no idea, haven't been here much. Absolutely, life first! Was just curious.

Re: Fuel petcock

Yup, I'm the same way, SW. Always, always, ALWAYS kick it over a few times.

THAT, I'll remember. Shutting off the Yamaha manual? Probably not.

Re: Fuel petcock

OEM vacuum petcock has never gone bad on me (yet). The failures I have experienced with the OEM was that they wouldn't fully shut off. So unless you pull the fuel lines off the carbs periodically to see if it continues to drip, you might not know it has failed. Mine was leaking around the circle at...

This is the one I have on my 2013 Gear Up. Part number is different. https://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-2GU245000 ... B004K9I0JA
Bought the last one. We'll see how it goes. Still gonna pull the old one apart and see if it can be rebuilt.

Fuel petcock

Ok, the stock vacuum petcock on our '07 Retro started leaking right at the switch, so I ordered one of these. https://www.ebay.com/itm/253207348480 Drain the tank, replace the old petcock with the shiny new farkle, and the freakin brass nipple that the hose attaches to popped right out of the body o...

Re: Cheap Bluetooth Intercom

Yup, same with us. Rider to pillion or sidecar. Installed your suggested app, playing with it now. Once you have it on two phones, and they're paired, do you have to push PTT every time, or is it open mic? Motolky is an open mic, just like a phone call. I can't imagine having to tap the phone every ...

Re: Cheap Bluetooth Intercom

Thanks for that, codemonkey001. Downloaded and trying it now. How does it maintain comms between 2 vehicles that are no longer within Bluetooth range?

I've had the same apk for Motolky for years. Works really well on every phone we've tried it on, but if this new app works better, I'm all for it!

Re: Cheap Bluetooth Intercom

These are amazing as far as battery life. One charge lasts me about 8 hours straight. I only putt around a hour or 2 each day, so on average they last about a week for just music/maps. Haven't used them nearly as much as intercom yet, but I doubt it matters. Before I got these I had a Sena half helm...
