Somebody would want to steal a Garmin?
I think I still have that TT mount laying around, have just been using a RAM mount.

Re: How do YOU kick start your Ural?

Any easy fix for kickstart lever no longer engaging? This is a recent problem, although the machine isn't getting as much useage as it had been. It will engage perhaps 1 out of 20 pushes on the lever. I have always at least kicked it through a couple of times, even if using the e-start.

Re: Things I wish I knew when I started driving

I thought it got a lot easier after the first couple of miles (plus the seat was loose). Not sure what the big deal about driving a hack is.
Perhaps driving a tractor at 5 years old helped.

Has basically been trouble free (ie, nothing I couldn't fix myself). Going with a Ural tub on a DL650 now.

Paducah gets 49" of rain, 7" of snow/year. About the same as here.
Will stay.

Re: Tickets for flying the chair?
If I go out on the Ural and the chair doesn't come up, it's not a real ride! Although I did not fly the chair today when transporting the engine from my Rebel 250 in the sidecar, which I did immediately before getting pulled over.
Agreed (unless my wife is along). I was part of a g...

Re: How to insert plug wires into coil??

It's been a while since I messed with mine but I think that rather than a pin in the coil it is more of a pointed screw. Insert the plug wire in the hole and then turn it CW until it bottoms out. Perhaps put a bit of silicone to seal it and then push the boot down (we did put the boot on before inse...
