Re: 2019 engine light fault codes.

Thanks for the responses, everyone!
I figured out my problem with the poor run-ability, and eventual no-run!
Embarrassingly, I was out of fuel! I don't know how I lost track of the mileage, and the low fuel light never came on! So I guess the fuel level sensor is bad or stuck.
I feel really stupid...

Re: 2019 engine light fault codes.

Just this week my check engine light came on, and I have no stored code, and I can't clear it.
It also started running very poorly and the header pipes are turning bright blue!
Too bad I'm 300 miles from any dealers...

Re: 2015 U.S.C.A. National Sturgis, SD

Our trip may not happen this year. Our daughter, who was going to ride up with us, passed away after having an accident while riding her bike home from work. A guy turned left in front of her. I seem to have lost my enthusiasim for riding since this happened. Maybe I'll snap out of it soon, I don't ...

Re: Moab 2014

Looks like my wife is going to stay in China this time longer than originally planned, so she's not going to make it to Moab with me. I'll be rolling around in utter luxury in my Double cabin with its own bathroom from the 23rd through the 27th. So, if anyone is interested in sharing, I've got room...

Re: Nighthawk LED headlamp

They look exactly like the one you can buy through Trucklite. Right now they are on sale for about $170 through a company called Drive Train Industries in Denver. Is the model number you put on yours TRUCK-LITE 27270C 7" LED HEADLIGHT? Cheers, Dan K. Yup! That's it. I have tried and loved the 85/10...

Going to join in this hooliganism with the Teedub, heading up Saturday . Hope to see some of you guys somewhere so I can witness the mighty frontal assault by the Uralistas haha! Are you going to ride that thing all the way from Wyoming?!?! I would pay money to see that. I have a feeling you would ...

Cindy and I will most likely be going for the entire week this time. We will be tenting or bringing the Westy.
I will probably stick to the paved roads and gravel this time.

Re: Twin Disc Front Brake

That's a good use of an old BMW front end! Nice rig! Yea, like Dan said, I can lock the front end- it is in good working order, but when we have traversed some of Colorado's taller passes, you really have to ride the brakes because the engine just doesn't have the braking-effect of other bikes, plus...
