Re: Jetting - Dyno
Once I got my jetting and shims and needles close I'd change one thing and run a tank of gas noting driveability, ide, mileage, starting, etc until I was satisfied. Also there is a 1/2 mile uphill stretch nearby I would use to check speed. Before modifications I was lucky to hit 45mph at the top. af...

Re: UDF is real!
Most of my UDF starts with "I've seen you all over the place". I once took the BMW to the grocery and a complete stranger walks up to me and say, "so why'd you take the sidecar off?"

Re: Covd Vaccine Shot One Done
Good for you, glad the side effects are limited. Here in Ohio the over 65 crowd I'm in won't be eligible until sometime in February, I'm thinking March or April for me, I intend to get one but not going to fight crowds to get to the front of the line. I'm anti social by nature so social distancing c...

Re: Adding LED lights
I'm running 2 fogs wired to the low beams and 2 driving lights wired to the high beams. They're tungsten because I did it many years ago and the led market had not matured. With led's you probably would not need relays. I like them always being on with the headlight. I do have the European headlight...

Re: Petcock vs Petcock
I think my original one started misbehaving, though it might have been a bad vacuum line. I replaced it out of caution and fear of it leaking and causing hydrolock, though with me forgetting to shut off the manual petcock that issue is probably a tossup.

Hi Hal,
Here's wishing a speedy recovery and hope to see you at Heindl's open house this summer, if things get back to normal enough for them to have an open house! Take care, Joel

Re: Accurately named manufacturer
A friend of mine has a collection of vintage (1920-1960) Indians and Harleys with mind bending variations in levers for shifting and brakes. He rides all of them and I have no idea how can jump from one bike to another and not kill himself. I get screwed up trying to use the blinkers on my K bike af...
