Re: ISO: GoPro mount for Fender Rack

Does seem optimistic. I'll admit the only experience I have of GoPro mount is I got one on a Mag Mount (MagPro), but I use it with an adapter for a Tom Tom camera, which is a mite bulky and weighty, so I replaced the plastic thumbwheel type tightening thingy of the GoPro part with a M5 bolt and nut...

Re: ISO: GoPro mount for Fender Rack

Frankly I'm surprised, especially on doing a search and finding yes indeed the Ural page Braven-x-ural-bluetooth-speaker are they sure?? Looks to me like it will last about 10 minutes then snap off at the first pothole :o If the wind doesn't have it off first :? It survived about 10 miles (short tr...

Re: ISO: GoPro mount for Fender Rack

Went with the easiest method. Seems secure; now to road-test it. Used an aluminum action mount-to-tripod adaptor, a couple of rubber washers, and an aluminum tripod screw. Less than $15 all in, and just used one of the existing rack holes. Easy to mount and remove. speaker1.jpg speaker2.jpg speaker3...

Earbuds and an inexpensive mp3 player? That way, only the intended recipient hears the music.
Ah, but then I couldn’t blast “Party Like a Russian” as I pull into the local HD-heavy bike night. :D

Re: ISO: GoPro mount for Fender Rack

Thanks, all. This is to mount a Braven speaker (basically, the same one Ural sells) because my son likes having tunes in the tub. Been using a suction mount inside the tub, but it always fails due to the weight of the speaker. I saw those two holes in the fender rack and thought “why not mount it th...

ISO: GoPro mount for Fender Rack

There are two holes on either end of the fender rack — roughly about 2.25 inches apart. Has anyone found a GoPro mount that works with these?

It’s been a while; I’ll have to take mine apart and check. I remember it being a snug push, but it worked as pictured above.

Re: New GPR 2-into-1 right exit high mount stainless exhaust

Yes, it’s very obvious looking into the muffler exit that a fine screen spark arrestor is installed. There is also a snap-ring around the exit, which means the arrestor is probably removable and cleanable; which would be consistent with every dirt bike muffler I’ve had. Thanks, guys. My biggest con...

Re: New GPR 2-into-1 right exit high mount stainless exhaust

All of the above plus it's illegal to modify anything emissions related unless it's been certified by the EPA and Dot. The level of enforcement depends on the state. Here in Washington it isn't a problem on public roads, but one better have either the DOT, or spark arrestor markings when riding FS ...

Also curious if anyone can say why the exhaust is labeled off road only.

Re: heated grips

Adding a note on the Oxfords. I love ‘em, but my initial set came with a bad controller. It would never register enough charge to get out of battery saver mode, so I had to turn that off. Initially, Oxford told me it must be my battery, but after push back on them, they sent me a new controller. Wor...

Re: First time buyer: 2018 vs 2019

I was in the same 18 vs wait for the 19 position when I decided to buy my Gear Up last November. The deciding factor was getting roughly $4,000 off asking price on an 18. It may burb and stall here and there, but I love it as is. I was amazed at how well it runs on the highway at 60+, even up grades...
