Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Hi All Up until last week, I had 2 GearUps , a 2011 Gobi and an 06 Forrest Camo. Both had been sitting for most of the winter and I didnt know which one to start working on first. My brother in law from Medford OR came to visit a month a go and we got the Gobi up and running. He and his wife liked i...

Re: 2019 - Year of the Ural? (Vote Again - another choice)

I am going to be a bit far North to test that! Is that the big one on I5 North out of LA or one of the other ones? The grade on the I-5 north of Los Angeles is the Grapevine. The Cajon Pass is on the 1-15 from Los Angeles -> San Bernardino -> Las Vegas. I live at the top of the mountain on Highway ...

Re: 2019 - Year of the Ural? (Vote Again - another choice)

My criteria... will it pull up the Cajon pass in 4th gear at 65+ mph. If so I will get a 2019 G/U, if not I will stick with my '11 Gobi.

Re: latest from IMZ on the 2019 GU

Has anybody taken delivery of a 2019 Ural yet?

I'd love to put an order in for one but not until we get some real world feedback.

Thinking of going with OD Green with standard engine finish.

Re: latest from IMZ on the 2019 GU

From Triquest Cycles Website "Regarding 2019 models ... release to dealers awaiting/pending EPA/CARB documentation approval. Keep your fingers crossed... no more gov shutdowns. Taking custom 2019 orders now." Where exactly is Ural with regard to 2019 EPA testing and CARB testing? When the 2014 mode...

Re: latest from IMZ on the 2019 GU

I on the other hand like the simplicity of our 03 :o Most the refinements bring complication with them, but Ural needs them to sell rigs so here we are. I know sometimes I sound like a luddite :( ... I hope my grandson has the option of a NEW refined or Old simple Ural when his time comes :) :foilh...

Re: Enduro seat experience.

Dang, Randy! That is, hands-down, THE largest motorcycle seat I have ever seen! I'll BET it's comfortable! I took a longer ride on the Enduro this evening and I'm getting a little more used to it, but, like you, I can definitely tell where the padding is thinner. I need a good loooong ride to tell ...

Re: Enduro seat experience.

I put an Enduro seat on my 11 Gobi early last year because I thought it would be more comfortable than the tractor, which I had moved back about an inch on the frame. I am 67 yo, 6'7", 280lbs. My first ride on the Enduro was a 175 mile trip (one way) to Death Valley last spring. OMG... I was in such...

Re: 2 into 1 High Mount Exhaust

Soo... after all the discussion, where is the best "go to place" to buy a 2 into 1 right side low header for a '11 Gobi with the old oil filter? And the best muffler to get or can I use one of my stock mufflers? Would it hurt to get a 2 in 1 with the 02 sensor bungs to put a Air/Fuel monitoring syst...

Yep! Between a little town called Yucca and Lake Havasu city. I live out in the desert in a nice Santa Fe style house with a large steel building up against BLM (government land) on 2 sides. Unlimited off road riding.👍 Nice to know you are in the southwest now. I am in Wrightwood Calif.... the west...

Re: Southern California - Santiago Peak

Hi VItz I'd be interested in doing this ride sometime after the first of the year. I am finishing a lot of one-time projects/winding down small business etc. (not worth continuing anymore in Kali) Starting in 2019 I would like to set up several rides per year. I live in Wrightwood, the gateway to th...
