Re: Need advice on packing two small dogs....

Wife on the back of the bike, jam the dogs in the car. More you load a Ural the better it rides.

Be careful on right handers if the wife is heavy....

Re: ethanol question

Years ago when a station did not properly manage its tanks ( stick for level and water ) we would get water in the fuel problems that usually could be solved with Drygas. Which was alcohol. Note: if the pumps seem to run slow could be water inclusion, long story I do not want to type. People forget ...

Re: ethanol question

Around here non-ethanol in not an option. I'd have to travel 50 miles or more to get pure gas. I run regular, 10% corn, get about 32 mpg (good for a carbie) runs cool starts easily and have not experienced any problems. Just don't let it sit for more than a couple months. Casey's in Trenton, Ohio i...

Re: Jack for Ural

I do not understand why we need jacks. Side car can be tipped up, center stand holds up the front wheel and rear wheel. Just need something to roll up on to get the dern thing up on the center stand. All kinds of crap in my trunk I can roll over if I can't find something on the side of the road. Wha...

Re: Insurance renewal woes

Agent was gold knew the system and how to play their pricing games. He was not the agent of the policy, just advised when I was shopping. Wish I only had 1 or even 2 insurance agents. They seem to collect as no one agent seems to be able to cover all.

As for staying just cheap and lazy I guess.

Re: Ethanol free sputter and backfire

OK when we had alcohol free gas we used to put alcohol in the gas to solve the water problems. Allow it to absorb into the gas and not cause the engine to sputter and miss. Now we have 10% gas that turns to varnish in about 9-10 months mainly in the carb that is vented to the air. Lasts a little lon...
