Still looking!

Also looking for the 2wd guard that sits over the sidecar diff and tightens the sleeve to the sidecar frame.

Ty.
If you haven't already done so, you can substitute two bolts until you find or make a guard.

Retro/M70/Marzocchi fork oil capacity.

Does anyone know what the official fork oil capacity is for the Marzocchi fork Used on the Retro and M70? I've searched and searched tonight and can't find the answer (one that I feel is accurate anyway), maybe my search fu is off tonight, IDK. If you know what the capacity is, and even better, can ...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Well hopefully it's just a piston imbalance, and by "matching" the pistons, you should be able to rule that out, or fix the problem. The engine in my Retro was rebuilt under warranty, and it's had a vibration ever since, it does not instill confidence. I would have preferred to rebuild the engine my...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Ever since I blew and replaced ( with Gobium 's much appreciated help ) the left piston last year, I've experienced weird-feeling vibrations; odd harmonics and whatnot. The weeping pushrod tube seal on the left and the cracked seal on the right provided the perfect excuse to pull the pistons to wei...

Re: Funny or WTF photo thread

I saw Roger Miller perform that song and some others at the Valley Forge Music Fair, he was opening for Roy Clark, if I remember correctly it was in the early 1990s. We had front row seats in a venue where there were no bad seats. What good luck I had to see that show in that venue, and my wife at t...

Re: The new deal on my GU

Hey Chuck, thanks for the response. I'm sure you thought it through, and I wasn't trying to give you any "crap", just another point of view, sorry if I put you on the spot. I can certainly understand wanting to move on to a rig that is a little more versatile. If I didn't have so much history and at...

Re: The new deal on my GU

Chuck do you think you might be money ahead if you sold your rig complete, with or without the modifications, and just buy a sidecar, Ural or otherwise to hang on your new BMW? Although I know you can spend more, I've never spent more than $1,500 on a sidecar, and have bought them for less, seems li...

I also noticed that one of the upper fork pinch bolts is nearly stripped FROM THE FACTORY! That will get replaced .
Welcome to Ural ownership, sometimes all you can do is shake your head.

The Deco Classic, the Italia, and the Bavarian Classic, where the Ural "Fancy" models before the Retro Classic and all the special editions.
That one looks especially well preserved.

I'm gonna take a wild stab here and guess that you're headed towards a Keihin EFI-equipped Ural. 🤔
That would be my guess too. :D

Re: Funny or WTF photo thread

From Grandma's album of very old VALENTINE CARDS. Having a beard halfway down my chest, I first thought the guy had his stuck in something (It happens!), then I said "No he doesn't", then I thought, "Under what context would one share this valentine card"? To the second one, I can only say, "We all...
