Re: for sale-Thermal Chaps

When it comes to electricity and potential moisture from being out in the elements, I'd rather leave my important parts exposed thank you.

Re: CV Carburetors to fit your Ural

Here is are pictures of the early cables that were used from 1998.5 to 2001 on the 650 bikes Thanks Terry, please put me down for a set when they arrive. Those are the ones I need. I made a set that work using bike brake cables and these cable ends but I'd rather them be a spare set than a primary.

Re: WTB: Old Russian Shocks...

Are they easy to rebuild? I saw a diagram that showed a lot of parts, but also hear it's very easy do if you have a compressor.

Re: New Ural - options?

Good set of tools. I think he is looking at what the dealer offers. Ural mods vs others,. I had thought about the Throttle Palm assist, the R80GS was horrible for stiff but the Ural proved to be a non issue in that regard and that was a couple of really long days, one was 12 hours (lunch, dinner, f...

Re: Battery Light on while idling

I'd take it off the tender as that might be masking the issue.

Let the bike sit for a few days and see if it starts. Leave it with the headlamp on for 5 or 10 minutes as well. This is the non-meter way of testing it.

If the battery is bad get a new one and then go back to the tender.
