Re: Dnepr MT gearbox leak

Here is my worthless advise - - - Ride and down worry about this. Since you will not follow this advice, see attached picture. It is leaking from these 3 places as likely 2 more places from the inside (in the clutch region). The clutch actuator seal is an o-ring. The "auto clutch" plunger is an o-ri...

Re: Can't Keep Sidecar Down

It's not harmful to the rig. Broad strokes - assuming all have modern Urals. Actually, I agree with the sentiments above. Flying is part of the enjoyment! However, with a 2WD Dnepr, one must be cautious. The differential will cause the unloaded sidecar wheel to spin and bringing it back down to tra...

Re: My Dnepr MT-11 Story

Looking good
I like the fender light!

I would try and rotate this fastener and have the bolt head exposed.
How far north are you in IA?

If you are wanting one, I'd get it now.
The redesign (both hardware and software) will not be a simple task.
Mark/Grok was quite an interesting and capable engineer.

I have had motos in Russia registered based on the frame and others based on the engine. No idears what the Latvians are doing. What did the seller pro...

Re: Year of mybike

Ah, the contrast of black on dark grey....
Well, who knows!

The frame is very heavy modified for chopper look.
The engine is an OHV KMZ (Dnepr) variant. With a hacky-cool alternator mod along with single carb mod.

Re: Cam timing valve adjustment type questions for dneprlover

It is pretty quick and simple to check TDC or as marked on the flywheel "ВМТ". Remove both spark plugs for ease of turning and use a dowel in the spark plug hole to determine top travel. This may take a few attempts and a helper, but with some practice, you'll figure it out. The "timing" mark "P" is...

Re: Dnepr identification

And some old parts - M72 style controls.
Later K65 or K63 carbs with adapters.
Later style tail light.
Hope it was indoors or tarp covering (but I doubt it). The transmission may be full of water or in the least contaminated as the speedometer cable is missing and the hole looks open.

Re: 1WD vs 2WD Dnepr

It is not limited slip. Lift the sidecar wheel and all power goes to the lifted wheel. The locker solved that. The geometry of the two models is vastly different. Side car wheel is more aft on a 2wd model and the sidecar sits up higher. I have time on both models and prefer the 1wd model in virtuall...

b) "P" is for patina.

a + b = Never pass on an opportunity to leave patina
