Re: LED headlight recomendation please

I want to say thanks for all the input guys. I think I will venture down the road of using the Hella and the Auxbeam. I like the idea of retaining the look of the original sealed beam, along with the glass lens. I dislike how the plastic lens on most modern headlights (fixtures/housings) will fog an...

LED headlight recomendation please

I have an '05 gear up and I noticed the other day that the low beam in my headlight has given up the ghost. So I figured since I have to replace it anyway, why not upgrade to an LED headlight. I thought I would ask you all if you have some recommendations. I would like something that just drops in, ...

Biketoberfest Daytona / Volusia Co

Biketoberfest in Daytona and surrounding locations in Volusia county is coming up the weekend of October 17-20. Is anyone doing anything interesting or participating in anything fun over the few days? Does the sidecar and trike event still happen on Thursday at the flea market?

Re: Biketoberfest 2018

In the past, there has been a sidecar and trike event at the Daytona flea market along with the swap meet on the first Thursday of Bike Week and Biketoberfest. I guess it didn't happen.

Re: 2005 double starter relays

Rivers, yes, there are two relays in the circuit that feed the starter solenoid on my bike. It is an '05. See the below attachment. I bought the bike used. It was Kenny's bike. The mechanic at Holopaw Ural. Nothing has been monkeyed with. I am not an electrician either, but I am an electrical engine...

Re: 2005 double starter relays

When the starter does engage, it has no problem turning over the bike. You are right though, I have never dismounted or disassembled it. I have owned the bike about 6 years and the problem has always been an issue. I just kick the bike over most of the time anyway. But you do have a valid point. The...

2005 double starter relays

As the title says, I have a 2005 Gear Up with the two relays that control the engagement of the starter. I have always had trouble with the system. It has always been intermittent. I have replaced relays, traced circuits, checked voltages, and when I put it all back together it usually works.... for...

Re: Back from vacation

Carl: I didn't know of Parsons Branch Road!! I Must make a point of it the next time I go up there. One day I spent on a forest road just south of the Tapoco Lodge. I think it was as much fun as the dragon. That is where I got the picture next to the waterfall and the pic of the forest service map w...

Re: Back from vacation

I only put a few hundred km on the bike while I was up there. I was making a two week vacation out of the trip and only part of it involved motorcycling.

And only my legs really balked at me after the first day of riding.

It was a really good trip.

Back from vacation

Took a two week vacation which started with three days staying in Deals Gap. Had a great time. I learned a lot riding those twisty roads. Honkin the bike around the corners is not for the week of heart or those with week quadriceps. Jockeying back and forth on the seat really made my legs hurt the n...

Re: WTB sidecar front floor

Yes, Deltona. And yup, John is right around the corner from me somewhere. A couple yeas ago I actually ran into him in the Publix parking lot. There are a couple others in this area also if I am not mistaken. I apologize. I have been away from the forum for quite some time and didn't know this was a...

Re: WTB sidecar front floor

Joe, I have done a lot with restoring cars in the past, so I am not a stranger to sheet metal work. Shortly after I acquired the rig I had inclinations that a previous owner might have covered up something with the rubberized coating on the floor of the hack. I think several inches fore and aft of t...
