Re: 650 Ural with Chevy points refit questions

I have a used Chevy points/condenser refit plate for a Ural 650 and was wondering if anyone has the instructions on how to install, set-up,etc. plus anything else I might need/use with it. Also wondering what year/model Chevy points and condenser it uses. Can this also be used on a Dnepr? Greetings...

Re: has anyone cut it off .......

Why cut off a perfectly good tie-down point. If it wasn't supposed to be there, the Germans wouldn't have engineered it and the Russians would
have not copied it, and given it to the Chinese. :?

The BEST Motorcycle I have Ever Owned

To complement the other thread, I put this out there... My 2007 Ural is the most dependable machine I have had in recent years. I had a couple minor warranty things, but Gene sent the replacement ASAP  My other favorite bike....A 1948 Pan Head I built from a basket case back in the mid '70's. ...

Re: worst motorcycle

I've owned 2 bikes that I would call the worst. A 1952 "K" model Harley (flathead sportster, and yes it had a sidecar) impossible to get into neutral with the engine running. If you held the bike in first with the clutch in, the 3 piece clutch rod would grind itself away and you wound up tearing do...

I figured they had to be a trick. They show no sign of deterioration.

CV Carb queston

The 07's carbs have always performed great after Gene re-jetted them. :) I have torn down the rig and am checking the carbs out and cleaning the float bowls etc. When opening the top cover the diaphragm seems misshapen and it is not going to seal around the lip of the casting I don't think. Is it ti...

Re: Fuel Petcock Question

Some fuel proof sealer would not hurt. i would take a trip to a good auto parts store and check the Lock-tite products.
