Re: Throttle cables

Having the same issues with my 98 deco classic cables. The throttle chain block keeps breaking. Try Terry Crawford at Crawford Sales; he has cables, twist grips and throttle chain blocks. Hopefully they are better quality than Russian Garage. If this continues to be an issue for me I'm thinking abou...

Re: Throttle cables (Moved)

Here's what I'm working with, sorry the pics are a bit blurring but you can get the idea of the cable ends.

Re: Throttle cables (Moved)

Makes sense. I've been researching cables and it seems i have "small ends" according to Terry C and Russian Garage. Terry is sending another twist grip with the housing and an additional block and chain so I can try again. Hopefully I can get it this time. Otherwise I may simple replace the entire h...

Re: throttle help

Terry was able to help and send the chain and block. Trouble now is actually attaching the cables to the small block without breaking the block. I must not have delicate Russian fingers...

Throttle cables (Moved)

Is there a secret Russian trick to attaching throttle cables? I've broken TWO metal blocks that hold the cables. Any help would be appreciated.

They come in different sizes depending on the cable ends. If the above part it still intact and just where it mounts to the twisty is snapped, you c...

throttle help

Was taking the carbs off for cleaning and noticed no tension on the throttle cables. Turns out the throttle cable connection point in the twist grip broke; aluminum degraded. Anyone know where I can find another throttle assembly? And does the assembly need to be Ural or can I use a different thrott...

1996 Deco Classic

Getting a 96 deco classic that needs new carbs. Other than that the bike runs well and all the lights work. Cosmetically it looks really good for its age. Any gotchas out there for this model? It's significantly cheaper than new which is my other option.

Hack seatbelts

Wife was asking about putting a seatbelt on the sidecar seat. It seems easy enough and good automotive style seatbelts are cheap enough. Is this feasible and simple to do? Anyone have a seatbelt on their Ural hacks?

Re: Nervous

Thanks for the responses. I think I'm going with the 2019 cT and keep the R9T two wheeled as God intended.

Nervous

Looking at a good deal on a new 2019 CT. It's either that or get DMC hack for my existing bike (BMW R9T); which is more expensive since I'll have to get another two-wheeler to get my cornering fix in. Wondering about the reliability of the Urals; they have a reputation. I personally know one person ...
