Re: Fuel draining from my exhaust pipe

Hey guys!! Thanks for the insights into what could have happened. I do in fact have the vacuum petcock. I recently replaced the tank and rebuilt the unit when I did it. Didn’t have any problems with the fuel then. I took apart the carbs and cleaned them more recently. I have had an issue with that l...

Re: Fuel draining from my exhaust pipe

My plan was to store it for winter and I just filled the tank the other day. Haven’t been to the garage in a few days but parts came in for my ‘08 so thought I would go install those. I do have some of the carbs from Crawford on order so I can replace the ones I have.

Fuel draining from my exhaust pipe

Hey folks, So today I came out to fuel draining all over my garage floor from my exhaust pipe. Think one of my carbs is bungled really bad. Took the cover off and it just poured gas out of the jug. I am going to drain the oil pan too because I think it back flowed into the bike. My thinking was to r...

Re: Disc rim vs Drum rim

Good to know. So none of the rims on my ‘06 have any sort of markings. On my ‘08 the are marked with N19x2.15 DOT URAL 0308. The rim I bought is 19” but it measures 2.0 not 2.15. Not sure if this is useable on my Ural.

Disc rim vs Drum rim

Hey all,
What is the difference in the 19” Disc rim vs the 19” Drum rim? I just bought a rim to replace an old cracked steel rim and now I am wondering if I bought the right rim. I see Raceway sells them as different.

Let me know!!
Thanks,
Ryan

Re: Another friendly reminder...

So I have a question. I found an interesting piece of art work on a tshirt that has Biden and Harris on a Ural. I personally don’t care about the politics but thought it was interesting that the artist decided to draw them on a Ural. I thought to share the art work without starting a political debat...

Wife made me do it

So last month a 2008 Patrol went up for sale in my area. So I sent my wife the link to check it out and her reply was...call Joe (Retro owner buddy), get the cash and go check it out. If it’s not too bad buy it. “If it’s not too bad” left a lot of room for interpretation so I ended up with a 2008 Pa...

Re: 3rd gear dumped...new gearbox...rebuilding old one

So the new gearbox with Herzog gears is light years ahead of the old Russian gears. I almost thought I did something wrong when I didn't get the old farm tractor thump shifting. It raised my shift points as well in the higher gears. I never used to be able to get past 45mph before shifting to 4th. N...

3rd gear dumped...new gearbox...rebuilding old one

Hello All, I recently got my bike running again and then just like that 3rd gear went out on me. Luckily I was rolling downhill and just moved to 4th. Rode home with 1, 2, and 4. Tried to adjust the shift points and no luck. So I just pulled the trigger on a new gearbox with Herzog gears and now I h...

Re: Had to ride home in 1 or 2 gear

Ok so got the new parts from Terry. Watched the videos on how to get the rod to seat into the square hole. Think I have the rod seated and inserted the bearing. Put the slider in and it doesn’t seem like it is going on far enough. It’s so tight that I cannot get the lever back on without removing th...
