Can’t beat a sunny day on the Orygun coast or the Coast Range.

Cool pics; thanks for sharing.
Not a problem wish there was more to share but it was just a short ride and not a lot of pics got took

Still baffles me why it’s ok to get cocktails to go now but I won’t complain!

Short woods drive

It was a very unusual sunny day on the Oregon coast so the fiancé and I decided to head up the closest paved logging road (blue ridge).

We eventually came out in the small town of Fairview and the rest of the ride is kinda fuzzy for some reason

Re: Any M1 garand experts here ?

LOL. Pretty much the MO up here is the guy (women of course are better!) gets off one shot maybe then the bear is on him. Woods tend to the dense side and the encounters are sudden as a result and the distances short. I had family up and we camped in serious bear country (it was a hoot when they as...

Re: Any M1 garand experts here ?

The next one is a Warhorse and would only be $700! You cold tell her that you need two guns, one for stopping and the other for penetration and finishing! (all too often those bears just pretend to be dead) And worse case you can beat an elephant into submission with a 1917, let alone a measly bear...

Mud in the Coast Range? I’m shocked. I’ve always liked the Coos Bay area. Glad you are off of the sofa.
I’m glad too

Re: First time mudding

Its much safer to travel with the son or a good buddy to go play in mud puddles, then with the better half...... just saying. They never forget and never forgive. * Proof of first statement: https://sidecar.com/forum/topic/travel-happy-as-a-cow-but-dont-ask-the-cowboy__4567/ 2 cent *: (I just remem...

Re: Any M1 garand experts here ?

PM me. I have an old warhorse Eddystone that I am willing to sell. Its not pretty cosmetically but its got a very good bore. I have the Throat Erosion gauge and Muzzle Wear gauge as well as borescope to look at those bores. That one cleaned up nicely. Gleams like a new barrel. This is one of the re...

Re: First time mudding

a 12 volt “come along” :) I saw that. I have the same 12V "come along". Actually 2 of them, fore and aft. Don't depend on technology in the woods. Back up come-a-long or Massdan Rope Puller, tow rope, some pulleys, tree-wrap . You'll still be glad you did. Is your winch tied into the Bikes electric...

Re: First time mudding

The previous owner deleted the cats is one what looks like a beefy hose clamp really the only thing that is spose to hold the muffler on up front ? Yes, that's all that holds the muffler to the head pipe. And of course the big hanger around the fat part of the muffler supports it at the rear. Thank...

Re: First time mudding

Outbound muffler was you sacrifice to what looks like a good day. That happens a lot to them since the exhaust is set-up for street (unless you get a higher set-up). If you're going to hit the dirt, sand or mud by yourself get a come-a-long or Massdan Rope Puller. At the very least a good tow rope....
