Re: 2006 Patrol
Even in the Taj Mahal of the United States (New Jersey) it's a bit high. But it's being advertised by an on-line dealer. It you could actually go see it and all was well/great/good with it take $1000.00++ off that asking price. If you are not in the tri-state area and are thinking about buying with...

Re: 2006 Patrol
Thanks everyone! So much helpful stuff here. I’ve only just started looking and so much to learn, but I’m pretty confident a Ural fits the bill. Is there a specific year folks would say the quality jumped up? 2007 or is that just in regards to specific changes to the Patrol? Every year is a jump up...

Re: 2006 Patrol
I think jaybird is right, the price and quality of the new Urals seems to be increasing the value of older Urals, but that could be a double edged sword. It's also going to increase the expectations of those who buy them, but there's really no comparison between a 2006 and a 2021, and one simply can...

Re: Front row seat......
Scary stuff! I would not want to be a Law enforcement officer in this day and age. Its a tough , dangerous, thankless, job. I know most cops dont do it for the pay, but still, that job does not pay enough for the BS and possible risk involved. Rick. IDK, the neighbor across the street is a cop, seems...

Re: Fuel Light - Worthless
The float sensor is magnetic. When tank is full no continuity. When low of fuel then you have continuity. The float sensor when mounted in the original sensor location it is only at a 30 degree angle. Not vertical enough to work properly when fuel saturated for a period of time. Like I mentioned, t...

Re: Remember when.......
Hey, I have a 06' Gear Up and I am reminded of those problems every day. You mean they corrected them? Yup, pretty much turn key now with just scheduled maintenance. The 2019 and early 2020 needed a wire rerouted on the fuse block, and a few speedos go TU, and sometimes oil venting from the FD but ...

Re: Smartphone handlebar mount
My bike is still being shipped, so I can't check. Would this work? https://www.amazon.com/RAM-MOUNTS-RAM-B-176-Double-Universal/dp/B00JUX1DRW/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=ram+x+grip+motorcycle&qid=1618579673&sr=8-1 No. The stem is not open. I used one of these, https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-3...

Re: Smartphone handlebar mount
Ram X-Grip, handlebar clamp ball, short double socket arm. The Ural mount is really nice, but kinda pricey, and I wanted the mount off center.

Re: Fuel Light - Worthless
After the 3rd failure on my 2016 cT, Ural replaced it under warranty with the reed/float sensor. It worked correctly for several months. Now, it works in reverse. Stays on until it gets low. That sounds like a short, might want to check the wires. In not a short. I had mine replaced with the new fl...

Re: Ural Makes The Euro 5 Standard
Windmill- having just done the 2012 to 2021 swap, I completely agree with you. I can be tight with money, but I haven't regretted this one bit. There are so many little changes beyond just the improved engine. Very happy with my choice. Question: there is a 100lb weight loss from the 12 tourist to ...

Re: Ural Makes The Euro 5 Standard
I know Ural has to do all this to continue to sell bikes but I'm glad I bought the last NOS 2013. It would appear that I will be keeping Arctic #1 for the foreseeable future...... :foilhead: Ignorance is bliss. (Said in a congenial manner among friends  ) Seeing and riding a late model Ural...

Re: Dealer "higgly piggly" or am I just cheap?
So ok. I get it. They park that ural out front as a draw and it isn't their bread in butter. But now, if I'm lazy or something needs to be done on the bike... am I going to take it there? How was my trust won or how did the sales guy recruit a loyal customer? When dealing with a large multi line de...
