Re: Of Mice and Moles 2020

Greetings, Alright... slapped a busket together using some crap I had laying around. Took a 1/4 inch fiberglass rod and sized it up to the bucket. Duct taped a couple of soup cans together with a hole drilled in the bottom. PB'ed it all up. Threaded it on the can. Grabbed a 2X4 for the ramp. Now we ...

Re: Of Mice and Moles 2020

Greetings, Maybe a different approach with the bucket. Put the food in the bottom, PB is good, veyr smelly. A nice ramp up to the TOP of the bucket, nice highway of some sort. Can even put PB on a ledge half way down. I'll definitely be giving this another go. Since the dogfood is THAT attractive to...

Re: Of Mice and Moles 2020

It's simple, I keep mouse traps set all year long in the garage , baited with peanut butter. Make conditions in the yard as unfriendly as possible for the vermin and you won't have a problem in the house. Don't wait for vermin to get a foothold. Greetings, You are of course correct and I am guilty ...

Re: Of Mice and Moles 2020

How long was it sitting? My '14 will kill a battery in about 5 days is left unattended. I don't know if anything has changed but my EFI system maintains a power loop to the TB's. Greetings, I usually keep my bikes on a tender. I haven't with the Ural. It had been sitting for maybe two weeks. Nothin...

Re: Of Mice and Moles 2020

Most fun I ever had with mice. Parked my Virago for the season, and when it came time to fire it up in the spring, had two rooster tails of flaming dog food shooting out the pipes. Glad I had the exhaust pointed out the door anyway. Thing was spitting crap for several minutes on the first putt ... ...

Re: Of Mice and Moles 2020

It is basically a mixture of oil of peppermint, a surfactant as castor oil and Dawn dishwashing liquid... bits of Irish Spring Greetings, I will check it out. I had heard of planting peppermint around your house with the added benefit of being able to have great tea. Irish Spring gets mixed reviews...

Re: Of Mice and Moles 2020

I seem to be loosing the battles and war with moles, but having decent success keeping the mice at bay with bait. Greetings, I would use bait if it wasn't for the dogs and the smell when one of these critters crawls in a wall and dies. I might drop bait in the secluded sections of the house but wor...

Re: Of Mice and Moles 2020

I was watching the MPG closely and it never affected that... I don't think the system is smart enough to see a difference in batt types but..... As for the infestation, get a 5 gallon bucket, put a ramp on it, put some dog food in the bottom. I was working carpentry out in Weater AK... Greetings, I...

Re: Of Mice and Moles 2020

Something I suppose nobody ever thought would be said about Urals ... they're getting too smart for our own good! Probably not a bad idea to do a careful check of all your wiring while you're in there - mice will eat the plastic insulation. They seem to especially favor the green ones ... don't ask...

Of Mice and Moles 2020

(There is a question at the end... I just figured I would entertain you first) It was war. No… this is not some Steinbeck-ian novella on the Great Depression. This is Apocalypse right now. A couple months ago I laid out traps to rid my home of the winter guests that come with rural living. It was a ...

Re: Swiss Army Pistol Fits In Russian Tank Box!

In our country they banned one hand folders and don´t let us carry knives longer than 5 inches, let alone guns. Where I read recently that if I flew to US, that knives wouldn´t be allowed in the checked in luggage and if not detected prior to flight, would cause problems at the border. Greetings, T...
