Re: Front wheel wobble.....

Ok, got bike out of shop today, from its 3500 mile check. They replaced damper, tightened the steering collar, and front shock nuts. Rides better now then when first got it new last June. Also replaced the entire speedometer, now everything works, yea hey. And all the rest of warranty stuff, fluids,...

Fastest you been on your Ural?

Actually hit 80mph the other day, just me and dog on board. Was actually a very smooth ride, and even had a little throttle left to use. AND YES, WAS GOING DOWN HILL AT THE TIME, VERY STEEP HILL......LOL Most times I curse around 60-65 when just me and the hound. When I have the monkey <wife> I aver...

Re: Front wheel wobble.....

Sorry for the lack of replies folks, been hunting. What tire are you running on the front? Using the stock tire, Duro 4.00-19. Also, if it just started doing this check the dampener for leaks, and think back if you changed anything or hit some bad potholes and knocked something askew. Have checked t...

Re: 12 volt blankets

Me wife uses a "Mambe" blanket, has a hood and hand/feet pockets. Not an electric blanket but is waterproof and very warm. She loves it, wears it as a coat when we stop at shops and such.

Front wheel wobble.....

I have gotten a wobble at low speeds, 10-35 mph. How actually do you adjust the steering damper? Turn it all the way to the right, then work it back while test riding it till wobble goes away? So far that has not help stop the wobble, maybe I should be looking else where for the issue? Thanks for an...

Open face helmet, or full face ....

I am looking for ‘vintage’ styled helmet. Who runs with a open face helmet with googles and face mask, do they work well in rain and snow weather?

Re: Best place to hook come-a-long to front of rig?

Thanks for the advice folks. That must have sucked using that ceremonial shovel. Wasn’t fun, but ground was soaked from rain storms last several days, so was soft at least. Shovel held together at least, but one more thing to up grade. Like the idea of the rope puller....will be picking one up in ne...

Best place to hook come-a-long to front of rig?

Was out solo hunting today and was traveling a mountain track. Ended up have to back down a steep part of track, applied front brake only to have tire loc up on me. Slide off side of roadway (heavily muddled 2trac trail) sidecar wheel hung up on large rock to keep the rig from tumbling down a roughl...

Re: Small pop up tent trailers......

Sixbennets, when pulling that trailer, how much weight is the bike and tub carrying? How do you handle hills, are you able to keep 40mph? Have you pulled on gravel roads, if so, how did it handle?

Do they make “over load springs” for a Ural? Lol

Small pop up tent trailers......

Has anyone pulled a jumping jack tent trailer? At 100lbs tongue weight, I would think it is way too heavy.
Does anyone pull any kind of pop up tent trailer?

Re: Goggles or windshield, what do YOU use?

Windscreen on both bike and tub, dog rides in tub and loves the windscreen, hates googles and will watch them off her head every time. I like the windscreen over googles, as my glasses do not fit under them. Only minor complaint I have with the windscreens is my beard ends up sticking straight out a...

Dog passengers...

For the ones who ride with dogs in the sidecar, does your dogs drool a lot? My dog loves to ride, with HUGE doggy smile and will continuously bark when left home until I return. She sits on seat with nose almost touching the windscreen. She drools all over the seat while riding. She has access to a ...
