Saw this Instagram post the other day and immediately thought "Hey, I've seen that photo on SS!" Congrats.
I've had Ilya like and comment on a photo or two of mine, but never had them re-share one.

Re: Choosing routes for Urals
I've got a Garmin 660, a 590, and an XT. The XT is some pretty sweet kit, actually cheaper than my old 590 ( but with a few features, like tire pressure monitoring, dropped ), but I find the way Garmin split the keyboard between two screens to be quite annoying for data entry. Coming from a 660, yo...

Re: Choosing routes for Urals
I almost always used Google maps or Waze with my phone and a RAM mount, but last year I finally broke down and got the Garmin Zumo XT($$$s) because I was doing fireroads on my KTM and Maps / Waze was pretty useless. I had looked at previous Garmin motorcycle GPSes, and they weren't worth the money....

My favorite what earlier this year a guy walked up and asked: "Is that one of those Russian bikes?" Yes, its a Ural built in the now Ukraine. "Yea, I'm not much of a bike guy.... But my reporter buddy did a whole big expose' with the Night Wolves and I went over there with him to interview a few guy...

Re: What are/is your Winter Project(s)?
I am not sure an LED bulb will work well in a Hella H4 glass. I DO know that a 35w HID bulb with the ballast (about size of pack of cards) will work just great! Actually, if you can find a Cibie 7" lens,it is even better than the Hella. The Cibie is curved front, not flat, so it even looks appropri...

Re: Adding LED lights
For nighttime visibility to other drivers, I just put a bright LED bulb in the sidecar marker light. Looks like a car with one badly aimed headlight coming at you. I had to put a piece of black duct tape over the light so it didn't blind my peripheral vision. Never found the need for additional dri...

This has to be the luckiest motorcycle I've ever owned! Snapped my engine guard on my last snow-venture.

Re: Choosing routes for Urals
I'll gladly jump on the freeway around Chicago and run the right lane at 55-60mph. So far it hasn't been an issue and surprisingly people are very nice to the unique bright red sidecar oddity in their way. Now, I won't jump into the thick of rush-hour traffic even on my two-wheeler that can easily k...

Re: Extremely Rapid K28 Tire Wear
My pusher Heideneau K28 has about 3000km on it and it still has plenty of life left in it but I do notice a slight bit more wear on the right hand side of the tire. Is this the norm? Other two are wearing (not wearing) perfect. Left hand turns lean against the sidecar, so you feel more confidant in...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?
Keeping with the same objective I took the lights off the Patrol as well and packed them away till next year. God Willing. I took off the lights also, but keep the wreath through out the winter. I think it may have added a little extra padding when I bounced the bike of a tree later that afternoon ...
