Re: Looking for new assistant system admin

I'd be happy to help out with php/SQL as needed but have no experience running forums, nor do I trust myself to be objective in that role.

Re: Hello

In answer to your initial question, Patrol and GearUp were both 2WD. GearUp just had more...gear. Tourist was the 1WD version in 2012.

What brand of oil are you using in your non-ethanol two stroke Gas ?
You joke about two stroke gas. A while back I was at a store in my old hometown and they were selling shrinkwrapped just-under-a-gallon cans of 4 cycle fuel.

Re: Notice from Rich's Cycle Upholstery!

I think we need a gallery of Rich Maund seats. Just today, one of the most popular pics on reddit coincidentally included (but didn't feature) a Rich Maund seat.

Re: Oroooga Horn

codemonkey, you're not really an Uber driver with your hack, right? I'll skip the socialist diatribe about a business model that shifts the cost of ownership of capital to the workers and just say "Uber won't allow it". I saw a guy up in Missasauga, Ontario with an identical green Patrol and an Ube...

Re: Oroooga Horn

Harbor Freight called the one they sold me "Ooga" horn, although I prefer "Ahoogah". I love mine, except that it seems to make the local geese want to mate with my bike. Image

Re: Cheap Bluetooth Intercom

is there an apple version of Motolky? Probably not. It was banned from the Google app store. Only place it can be found is shady side-loading sites known for distributing malware like the one linked above. The version linked above hasn't been updated in 4 years. codemonkey001 -- Are you saying the ...

Re: Cheap Bluetooth Intercom

Thanks for that, codemonkey001. Downloaded and trying it now. How does it maintain comms between 2 vehicles that are no longer within Bluetooth range? I've had the same apk for Motolky for years. Works really well on every phone we've tried it on, but if this new app works better, I'm all for it! I...

Re: 1st Winter ride

I never had any intention of riding through the winter until that first snow after I got my Ural. Now I'm addicted! I'm the opposite. Started riding late in life, fell in love with it after making a Royal Enfield my primary mode of transportation. September rolled around and I started look...

Re: Oxford Heated Grips Style Choice ? Others?

I went cheap - knockoff hippo hands , and when I came close to frostbite a couple subzero days last year, I augmented it with heated wraps . Easy to install, simple on/off switch I wired to the main headlamp circuit because I can't be trusted to remember to turn it off otherwise. So far, it's been t...

Makes me sad I couldn't get my hands on a pair. They used to make them right down the road from me (in Central Illinois) and I know some people that used to work in his shop. So I ride with cheap knockoffs...

Why is the fuel hose running under the clutch cable? It's clearly pushing it up out of place.

Re: Any British Expats here in the States?

I've just discovered steamed "puddings"... in particular I'd like to try a 'suet' pudding. Problem is... can't find the proper suet. Vegetable shortening (like Crisco, etc.) isn't acceptable. Can somebody provide me with a source? Amazon sells groceries now... they've got the Atora Blue mentioned u...
