Actually what you’re likely hearing is the noun form Блядь with a “d” at the end...we had an entire block on how a Russian uses profanity at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey. Blyad’ was a top five one!

Nice looking rifle! There are recoil buffers that go on the spring that really make a difference. I added one after a year and it helped a lot. Yup, the US Military Liaison Mission in East Germany, HQ’d at Potsdam. West Berlin was my first (and best) assignment active duty in the early 1980’s.

I’ve had a WASR for many years and love it. It’s a tank, but for me still accurate and a ton of fun to shoot. I’ve ran about 5,000 rounds thru it and the fun just never seems to wear off. I have the folding stock version, bought a wood pistol grip to match the rest of the gun and varnished it in Rus...
