Re: Top least reliable motorcycles

I guess you guys don't know who this is.

He also crashed into a boulder...one of the only objects on an otherwise fairly empty road.

Guy is a joke...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

What's your conclusion on this, I've heard of Evapo-Rust before, in terms of doing odd nuts and bolts and things from old bikes Usually seeing bicycle restorers talking about this. I guess they like it because it gets inside the frames and in hard to reach areas. :? I like it because it's environme...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Chad, after some consideration of this for my own bike I think that after initial rust removal, you should forget it. The clutch parts that matter are going to get hot on the bike and the heat will take care of any moisture inside. Rust shouldn't get any worse on the bike. Prior to that, just keep t...

Re: Parking the bike...

Hasso, Glad you're finally going to get your rig figured out. You should take it to bikes and breakfast in Clifton at some point and meet the other local Uralista. There are 2 of us in Fairfax, 1 in Clifton, and several more in the surrounding areas. At the moment I'm not sure if Corona has cancelle...

Re: Can't Keep Sidecar Down

I have the same issue...I've been pulled over by the police twice for flying the chair... I was wondering this myself. Did they ticket you? No, no ticket either time. I made a thread here about it and we never reached a consensus on anything. I don't know if they will try to charge you with reckles...

Re: Paronite Gaskets getting me down.

I'm not sure I'm really convinced that these "paronite" gaskets are truly paronite. Based on what I see on Russian garage, the paronite gaskets should have white flecks in them. What I received is shiny, maybe even slick. I've heard it come through the grape vine that these are graphite coated? Stil...
