Re: Ural bogging down

all of a sudden it bogged down for about 100 or so yards and I was about to pull over and it came back to life... I maintained 45-50 till I could get off and take some backroads home. The bike has less than 1000 miles on it so to say I was freaked is an understatement! This is sounding very like a ...

Fuel cap vent. Next time it happens crack the cap open to let some air in.
2015 EFI has a separate vent hose - still possible it could be blocked tho :D

Re: Should indicator lights light up when key is in the "ON" position?

Hi, Simple question, I bought a used 2015 Gear Up and am working through various issues. When I rotate the key to the "ON" position prior to engaging the starter should all of the indicator lights turn on? I would think they should to show that all are functional. Thanks, Bryan Sorry just read this...

Re: Should indicator lights light up when key is in the "ON" position?

What he said - to clarify, assuming turn signals / high beam etc. are NOT turned on (normal condition?) ONLY amber MIL (briefly, then goes out); plus the red charge light, green neutral light (IF in neutral! Do not attempt to start if off and clutch lever not pulled in - guess how I know) The yellow...

Re: Today's Safety Briefing (3/21/21)

Easy way to get flashing brake light that costs nowt - 'tickle' the front brake lever - at least on modern Urals (and other bikes) it activates the microswitch while not yet actually applying brake pressure. I do it frequently, in case the driver behind is dozing .. :o I especially do it when slowin...

Re: LED blinkers installation

Yes it is. I bought everything from a company here in Sweden and they said to me what i needed before buying. I also tried the original relay and its constant light all the time. Don't get this at all. It should work. I've done this conversion, and it all works. It does need the LED type flasher un...

Re: LED blinkers installation

So, if you are using LEDs with a relay designed for bulbs, you need to add resistors to compensate. If y...

That is a good tip actually. I've got a scissor jack but of course can't always rely on being hard underneath!
