Re: Oil pan heater

So - I have a similar question, and was wondering if anybody has some practical guidance on how to approach fitting an Oil Pan Heater... As many of you may know, the Oil Pan/Sump on the Ural is not flat. It has ridges that might be for cooling or to reinforce the Oil Pan itself - about 1/2 an inch o...

Re: 2018 steering damper

Jumping in on this thread... I have a 2016 Gear Up, and the steering damper was almost non existent. I think Ural changed it in the 2017 or 2018 models. Regardless, I now have one of Sean's R3W Steering Damper installed. It couldn't have been easier to install, great instructions and photo's. It mad...

Re: Any British Expats here in the States?

You may found or purchased your suet by now, but if you are or anybody else are still searching: I highly recommend the British Food Depot (https://britishfooddepot.com/), where they have a ton of ex-pat stuff. The vegetarian Atora Suet is there on sale for $1.50, 200 grams (about 60 % off). Also tr...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Replaced rear brake pads on 2018 GU. was having a heck of a time compressing the caliper until I found a post leading me to remove parking brake lever from brake caliper/pad assembly. I turned the splined shaft in and bing bang boom, smooth sailing from there. Oh yes piston won't retract for new pa...

Re: Eclectic MC collection up for auction

What caught my eye in particular was the 1958 Gilera B300. The highlights state that it has been restored, and the exhausts looked familiar... Although I don't know for sure, I am pretty certain those "Ray-gun" mufflers are the same ones designed and used on the BSA Rocket 3/Triumph Tridents in 1968...

Re: Winter Tires - with or without studs...

That's where I am heading.... (in February).

Just to be clear, the Quebec requirement only applies to residents of that Province (not tourists), same for Nova Scotia on some roads. Other provinces recommend the use of Mud & Snow (M&S) tires (tyres?).

Re: Winter Tires - with or without studs...

Hi and many thanks to all who responded, and included links to other threads!! I must have been using the wrong key words when searching earlier!! Based on all I've read, I will try and go with the Heidenau K37S Snowtex, and fit some studs to them, probably from Grip Studs. As to size, as we all kno...

Winter Tires - with or without studs...

I think this topic has been covered before in other threads, but a lot of the posts seem to be a few years old. So... I am sorry to ask again, but as I'm about to embark on a trip in Canada I wanted to get thoughts and benefit from others experiences. 1. What tires are recommended for Ice & snow? I ...
