Re: Touching lives, sometimes you don’t know.

I normally have a skeleton in my sidecar. I have been away from home and have some say they saw a bike with sidecar like mine with a skeleton in it. Taking to them more that they had passed through my town and saw me.

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

The new float sensor installed in place of the optical sensor is not worth the trouble. The angle is not vertical enough to over come the varnish that our or if it is the ethanol that crates the stickiness that lets the float stay in the empty position even when the tank is full.

Re: ECU Pins and Sockets?

Water getting in the connector from the bike harness to the throttle body was not my problem. The seal between the plastic part and the metal part of the throttle body. I recommend adding extra sealant were these two meet before you install your new throttle body.

It’s best to do the valves when the engine is cold. The clearances change as the engine is warm. It would be a few hours after shutdown before I would check them.

Re: Help installing final drive

I should have stated that I unbolt the sidecar shaft from the final drive. The first time I lube my splines I did remove the drive with the sidecar yoke. It was a pain going back. A lot easier when it not attached.

We have more in common. My dad is from Middletown, Oh. And I lived in Dayton for a year. Got the TR3 from my uncle that lived in Franklin.

Re: Help installing final drive

When I do my splines on my Patrol I also unbolt the sidecar drive shaft from the final drive. Then the nuts holding the drive to the swing arm. Going back the final drive doesn’t exactly line up to the swing arm holes. I angle the final drive to where the aft studs will start to go in the holes then...
