Re: Custom Wooden Slats on Luggage Rack

Thank you Rob,
I can feel something sloshing around in there, but I doubt it will spray much..

I also have a modern extinguisher mounted Incase of a real emergency. Hopefully I don’t have to use it!

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Had an Idea for a new project on the bike, so I went to Home Depot. I hit 15,000 KM on the way there. Keith, First of all thank you for all that you have done for our country. You and all of your brothers are part of what inspired me to have joined the military and I am thankful that I can display m...

Re: Finally got my 2019 GU!

By the way, this is the Canadian "2019 RT" (Rat Terrier). She is 8 weeks old with no options, but a lot of toys! Her name is Ranger and now she is American!

I have never seen the sidecar with a mirror like that before. Is it functional for you as the driver?

Re: Finally got my 2019 GU!

I wish this was posted on Friday!
We just returned from a two day short vacation to Toronto and picking up our "2019 RT" in Marmora, Ontario yesterday!

Your bike looks awesome! Did you install the options yourself or did the dealer?

Re: Changing My First Tire

I have started to get pretty good at changing the tires/tubes lately, but I have also been fortunate to do it in my garage. I keep everything that you see in the photo in the trunk. The stuff on top of the tool kit are the additions that I have made and keep inside the tool kit. The stuff on the gro...

Re: Worst mileage ever

I keep track of my km and try to fill up around 150km since I had the bike re mapped after running out at 125km.

I don’t care what anyone says, the odometer on these bikes is not a good indication of when to fill up because the riding conditions change things so much. We need a reliable idiot light!

Awesome, Thanks! I build model airplanes and surprisingly I never thought to use testors paint. I am definitely going to try that.

   :lurker: :lurker:    On a side note (and slightly off topic)...... I love the wood slats on your rack. Is that home brew, or something one could order? That would look sweet on Toothless. Thank you! I made those slats from scratch to match the custom dash that I mad...

Re: Flag Pole Holder

Ha! I would be lost without Chads posts! Chad, I would be careful with the collapsible pole and the weight of the flag in the wind. If it seems sturdy, you should be good. If you use pvc as the holder and the pole is too thin, just neatly wrap it with duct tape until you get the perfect fit. You can...

Re: 2 into 1 High Mount Exhaust

Thanks. I left the original powder coat black base coat on, ruffed it up slightly and painted it with the Krylon camouflage olive spray. I then used the Rustoleum satin clear as a top coat. I have tried multiple combinations of paint and this is the closest I can get to the Russian olive drab Ural u...

Re: 2 into 1 High Mount Exhaust

I know this is old, but I never posted what I decided to install. I was very fortunate to get a good deal from Raceway on parts from the old outdated high mount right side exhaust pipe and muffler. I installed it and painted the muffler to match the bike. I was a little nervous that the paint would ...
