That switch isn't hooked to anything. Heindl Engineering in a YouTube video within the last week showed how to release the sidecar seat latch.

I change the FD oil at around 2,000 K, rather than waiting until 5,000 K as I do with engine and transmission.

It's great for safely working on the electrical system and is also effective as a supplemental anti-theft device.
