According to Crawford's answering machine, they are at the IMWA dealer meeting this week. Anyone else heard anything?

Crawford posted a pic of a "darling" baby blue paint job special edition Tourist on the IMWA site. I reckon it's meant for the rainbow boys in San Francisco?

Some things are simply butt-ugly and some things you simply don't want near your butt. This rig is supposedly a one of a kind. However, in the service we used to laugh about such things and say there were two of them. One to take a dump in and the other to cover it up with. This is one of those frilly-silly bikes that someone must have had a gay old time in dreaming up with the paint combo for. I wonder if they thought that Ellen would be possibly purchasing it for her recent wedding?

As bad as the one photo was that was recently posted at the IMZ site, it was even ten times worse in the ones posted at the Crawford site. Yeach!

If this is the future of Urals, we can probably expect to see the color pink used much more often in the future, as well as an occassional boa or such.

You must be new to Urals. The desert pink Gear-Up came out years ago.
Yes, it is factory paint...

No, not new at all, but that paint job (ugly as it was) is the retro version and the new bike will likely have the more modern version of pink (hot pink), instead of desert pink. The new owners won't want any of the older retro looking stuff.

I received my "monthly" newsletter from Logan Valley Motorcycles, they said there is another limited edition coming to these shores...

Limited Edition - "SAHARA"
For 2009, IMZ-Ural is bringing in the Saraha as the limited edition model. Initially talked about, only 36 units are being brought in. Availibility should be in March. I have ordered 3 and took a deposit on one today, only 2 left. Here is a pre-production model picture. It has not been specd out as of the meeting so some accessories might not be included and frame color is still undecided. If interested in additional photos, please e-mail me and I will send you all that I have.

The picture of the bike on their website looks remarkably like the Pustinja....

....hmmm... wonder if there's room in the garage for another Ural....

I'd encourage anyone wishing to see the new accesssories for the mew limited editon rig, to go to the IMZ message board and look at the most recent post about them. The accessories are not offered for other bikes and indeed look interesting for this rig. go check them out and see the handlebar clock. rack and tools accessories that are new and inspiring for this particular model rig.
