All the usual stuff that came with the Ural, in a 2 inch thick box on the bottom. Spare plugs, fuel line, odd nuts and bolts. Clutch cable in the pocket.
Leaves plenty of room for groceries and keeps out water.
In the four ammo boxes are 2 light jackets, rain gear
2 towels and 6 bungees along with a hydraulic jack, 2x4, funnel,
20w-50, spare tube, first-aid kit, flares, bug spray, and 38spl. revolver.

A lot of nothing, as I seldom get in there these days. I like living on the edge, as nothing that is in there, other than registration and liability insurance papers, will likely help, for, the very item I'll need on the road will ultimately be the exact same one I left at home on my work bench, anyway.

I am a minimalist. Got rid of my spare tire (very few motorcycles ride with them) and got rid of most of the junk that cling/clangs about in the trunk area. Very little ballast needed these days, so the trunk may have an extra helmet at times (probably only the one for the dog), but very, very little else. I used to laugh at guys from the Model A site who had enough things in their trunk to build a new Model A Ford. I laughed whent they complained about poor gas mileage, but had no idea as to how the extra weight effected their performance. I also laughed at how infrequent anything at all was used for the intended purpose (most parts rusted in their trunks prior to them actually putting them into use).

This isn't to say I don't carry a very small bag for limited tools (hard on the nails to change a tire without tire irons) and such (scissors jack), but the more you have, the more likely you should be back at that garage in the first place. As I said, that is where the needed part for your breakdown repair will be, anyway.

Anyone carry condoms? I hear they work well when placed over the end of a tire iron to protect the wheel from marks..............no personal knowledge though
A sidecar without a dog, is just another sidecar.

Ex wife...

No, not really. All the necessary tools are in a .50 cal. ammo box bolted between the hack and the bike. The trunk is left pretty much empty other than extra tubes and a few odds and ends.

The air pump. Nothing else. My tools and spare bulbs, plugs and all the other junk is in the IMWA tool box on the hack. The trunk leaks in the rain or when I w@$# the rig, so if I want to carry anything in the trunk, it's in a plastic bag..

have tried all kinds of things to seal out the water - so far nothing has been successful for the long term.

BTW why is w@$# a bad word?

A whole bunch of junk!

Good grief, I would inventory it, but that would take a while.

Aside from the obvious tools and spares, a small air compressor that plugs into the cigarette outlet in the tub has come in handy a few times.

I always suggest sunscreen, a bottle of water and a good book so you are comfortable on the side of the road!

All the tools and spares are stored in the detachable tool box on the sidecar.
The trunk has a magazine holder with two empty RPK drums and a metal oil can in it. Rolled up behind the magazine holder is a big wool Russian blanket. Sitting on top of this is a bag that contains rain gear, a bag of trail mix, a book of Russain short stories, a mylar space blanket and fire starting equipment. To the right of the rack is another bag with the rope puller and a small scissor jack. Clamped to the inside wall of the trunk is the tire pump.
