Can anyone help an old blind guy out. I've looked and can't find where the vin number is located. I bought my bike for out of state and to get a new title and plates they need to verify the vin number. it's a 1995 sprotsman if that makes any diference.

Should be on one of the front downtubes on the frame.

On the early models, there is no VIN number "stamped" in the frame. It is printted on a decal on the downtube. There have been times when those decals fell off causing all kinds of grief with folks at the DMV.

While you're there (and to solve what could be a problem in the future) sand the paint off in one area, stamp the VIN, and repaint.

The engine should have a stamp on it as well. I needed that for registering my rig.
