I think our Ural was made by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.

Separated at birth?

Well that explains it, the A/2's were always a bit twitchy.
More cornbread?
I still say a church steeple with a lightning rod on top shows a lack of confidence.

Yup ya got some water in the gear box.

Check the grommet/gasket on where the speedometer cable goes into the gearbox.

It's on the right (inboard) inboard side of the transmission above the reverse leaver. It goes into the top of the transmission, just forward of the rubber "donut" for the driveshaft. It'll be the only thick black cable going into the transmission. There should be a big black rubber grommet/shroud protecting wehre the cable enters the transmission. If it's missing, I've heard of folks just packing the hole around the cable with RTV or silicone goo.

Take a large size length of electrical shrink tube and put it over the gearbox cable coupler.
Fill the hole with heavy blue marine grease when ya put the cable in.
Shrink the tube to seal it all up tight as a bull's butt in fly season ....

All will be well....
Not to fear ...

It's usually the cable that has the speedo on the other end..........
