So here's the sitch.
This past Saturday, Jodie and I loaded Ella into Sveta and we ran a nice wee daytrip up Oregon's Highway 126 (about 75-100 miles total). Beautiful country, right on the McKenzie River - we were doing some recon work to suss out where we're getting married next summer. That part went great.
But. We were running most of the day 45-55mph. When we would stop - stoplights, between locations, etc. - Svetlana would stall. Could not get her to idle, short of sitting there in first (or neutral if I could find it, still trying to master that) and giving it some gas. When starting her back up, it would be a race to give her some throttle, otherwise she'd just stall again.
I've looked around a bunch on here and see some different possibilities. The main ones seem to be around adjusting the idle (mixture too lean?) or just that the bike, at only 1300kms, is still pretty tight and this will improve over time.
What do you folks think? Do I need to bust out the wrenches and start going over plugs, idle screws, fittings and all that, or just get some more kms on Sveta?
Other than the idle/stalling problem, Sveta ran great. No problems at speed, handling, etc.
BTW, here's what I've looked at, if anyone else is trying to suss this out too:
Soviet Steeds - What is the purpose? Small screw...
Soviet Steeds - Stalling at stoplights
Soviet Steeds - Air mixture screws...where abouts?
